STUDIO INFORMATION
Students of all ages and levels are welcome. Lessons are available both online and in person. Located in the western suburbs of Chicago, the studio welcomes students from all nearby communities.
Lessons are offered in 30-, 45-, and 60-minute formats, depending on the student’s age, level, and goals. Beginning students typically take 30-minute lessons, intermediate students 45-minute lessons, and advanced students 60-minute lessons.
Students may choose to study once or twice per week based on their individual needs and schedule.
Tuition is billed monthly and may be paid at either the beginning or the end of each month through cash or Zelle. Once an invoice has been issued, payment is expected within 48 hours. Timely payment is greatly appreciated and helps ensure smooth scheduling and studio operations.
Private piano lessons are available both in person and online. Please contact me at sarahmeilipiano@gmail.com or use the contact form for additional information.
STUDIO POLICY
LESSON GUIDELINES
- Students are expected to arrive on time for each lesson.
- Please come with clean hands and short fingernails.
- If a student is feeling unwell, please wear a mask or notify the teacher in advance to reschedule the lesson.
- Students should behave respectfully while waiting during a sibling’s lesson.
- Parents are welcome to observe lessons in the classroom.
PRACTICE EXPECTATIONS
Students are encouraged to practice consistently, ideally 4–6 days per week, in order to make steady progress and come well prepared for lessons.
Quality and consistency are more important than the number of minutes practiced. Rather than focusing on tracking practice time, students should aim for focused, mindful daily practice.
For beginners, even 10–15 minutes of concentrated daily practice can lead to excellent progress and strong musical development.
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING POLICY
If a student has a serious conflict and the teacher is notified at least 24 hours in advance, a make-up lesson may be arranged at the teacher’s discretion, depending on schedule availability.
Lessons canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time may:
- Be held online during the original lesson time, or
- Be rescheduled for another available time if possible.
Please note that cancellations due to other activities, play dates, or family trips are generally not eligible for make-up lessons.
